Paladin Luminary
Well, would you look at that! Everyone's here! Were you invited, too? Arondight, Yara, and I are checking into the Inn while Lord Henry and our leader see to business at the Blacksmith's guild. Did you notice the carriage from the Lightguard outside? No? Maybe they left already. You should have seen it. They weren't allowed in, and started throwing a fit when they saw me and my friends walking through the gate.
Void
The last time we met, my resolve was in tatters. I was torn between my duty, fate, and family. It would have all been swallowed by the Void if it were not for you or Empress Gravelyn. Though she and my brother have taken a path that will never cross over mine, I can glance their way with a full heart. Haha, the events of that day still do laps in my head. Do you remember how we dove into Adimonde's maw?
- Void Refuge
Order
It's official, I've been kicked out of the Lightguard. Sigrid tried to vouch for me, but I was deemed to be 'tainted' and 'beyond rescue.' It was what I expected. Still, it hurt to leave the place that raised and cared for me. No…the people who adopted me are long gone. It's all Astero and his mindless worshippers now. Surprisingly, I wasn't left to wander for long. The Luminary Coalition invited me to join them.
Shard
I still have the shard. I was worried it'd whisper to me in the dark, and stir a fathomless hunger in my belly. Honestly? It just takes up space, but I'd rather not part with it. The Shard reminds me of my brother, and how everyone, no matter who they are, is an ocean. There's more beneath the surface. Complication and depth muddies the waters, but it's what makes us human. Hopefully, keeping the shard doesn't blow up in my face. Haha!
Paladin Ascendant
Are you and the Empress ready? I feel a tug in my stomach, and I'm sure it's going to lead me to Carnage and Carcano. We need to find them and the stolen Fiend Shard as soon as possible. The longer it's left as it is, the farther this twisted space spreads.
Talk
Will you and the Empress be alright? I don't feel any different, but it might be because of my…original fate.
Fate
The Nation's Oracles divined that I would be one of the ArchFiend's greatest weapons. My father was going to give me to them in exchange for power. Carnage, my older brother, switched out with me last minute. That terrible fate was defied, but it wasn't because I was brave and strong. Even though Carnage hated me, he took my place. I know he wanted to be special so badly… But why did he leave a loose end? Why am I still alive?
Affinity
It seems that I have an affinity for this Void? Specifically Adimonde's Void. Being here makes the Empress' skin crawl and she senses the dimension trying to twist her form. Me? I don't feel any different. Hmm? You think the ArchFiend has a similar affinity? That's how he was able to attain his power and Nation in the first place? Being able to survive in what's essentially a dimension trying to digest you…I wonder how many others there are.
Blood
I don't care about blood ties. What's important are the people who are truly good to you. The clerics raised me, Sigrid taught me, and the Lightguard are my family. I would have never met them or had a chance to save them…if Carnage didn't take my place. That's why I'm here. I need to know the truth. Did he save me from my fate because he hated me, or is there still hope? The answer will decide what I'll do with the Lightguard as it is under Astero.

I'm setting aside my business with my brother for now. Father is near, and he has the Fiend Shard that's about to turn Lore into a meal for the Void. You quieted the specters, so Nulgath is going to be able to watch us destroy Carcano. Let's go give him a show.

After completing the 'Famiglia di Carcano' quest:

I expected to kill off the rest of my family, and completely devote myself to justice and the Light, but I couldn't. Carnage didn't tell me what his true motives were, and he probably never will. I'll be kept guessing forever, but I'm going to trust my own instincts. I've made my peace. With that in mind, my return to the Lightguard will be interesting. I have questions for them, and I will find my answers. Thank you for helping me steel my resolve.

This was my childhood home, where my brother and I…Sorry, I zoned out!
Home
This was where I was born. I'm glad it's being razed to the ground. It's a place of evil - a cage under the gaze of the Archfiend. What warmth I felt in this place is long gone, and I wonder if it even existed to begin with. Carcano lived here, too. The terms of his contract were carried out here, before it all went awry. I know how it was broken, but I don't know why. It haunted my nights at the orphanage, and at the Lightguard.
Ascendants
The duty of a Paladin is to protect the lives of the living, and save the souls of the lost. I was given the rank of Ascendant and the weapons that came with it to further commit to that oath. That is, until Emissary Astero arrived. They've been imbuing the other Paladins with magic and radiant Light. I have my reservations. Those who receive Astero's blessing begin to live completely to serve the Light. Their sense of self is burned away…
Nation
I joined the Lightguard to fight the Nation and learn the reason for my existence. That goal lasted until the Alliance. I often fought alongside soldiers of the Empire, Legionnaires, and Fiends. There is a type of honor upheld by Evil's best, which I do respect- but then, I overheard them whispering about me. "Watch out for that one." "Could have been one of us." "I can't look him in the eye if she croaks on my watch." They knew already…

After completing the 'Family Feud' quest:

The Blood Void has caught the traitor's scent, and is charging into the eastern wing! We need to get to Carcano and the dying star first, or Carnage will bury the truth about both of them for good. Don't let him get ahead of us- and one more thing. If I look like I'm about to kill him, stop me before it's too late…

Carnage is my brother, the firstborn of Carcano. We were raised together, and I was promised to the Nation as a weapon. In exchange for fulfilling the terms of the contract, Carcano would be given immortality and power. That never happened, and no one found out until now. At the last minute, Carnage switched with me. Was it because he wanted to be a Fiend? I need to know for sure, or else…
