Servant of Celeritas and the Champion of Light
My, it is a relief to see the retainer of our Hope and Starlight. Is the Temple of Light keeping you warm? I assure you, its blessed walls are sturdy enough to keep the Shadows out. The Lightguard and I were asked to come to Balemorale to lend our protection to the Queen and her Noble court. The invasion of those dastardly Shadows has us on high alert. May the Light shine eternal, and sweep all wrongdoings from this world.

Paladins
Sigrid Sunshield and her Paladins need not bow, but they wish to. These poor doves have endured much. The Champion of Light, Lynaria, was taken from them, and they had to hold a mass funeral for their brothers and sisters. The chatelaine, the weaponsmaster - all killed by the Shadows. I will do my best to guide them in their greatest time of need. Even if Lady Celeritas wills me to return, I shan't leave our followers in the dark..
Shadows
Greenguard has called upon the Light in its greatest time of need. The Shadows who invaded Battleon are an age-old enemy we know too well. Unfortunately, we could do nothing more than lend the paladins available to aid in the town's defense. Now that we have the support of the Queen and her Nobles, however, the Lightguard are proactively searching to destroy the cursed Shadows. The Light will bring salvation to all.
War
An interesting guest is meeting with Queen Victoria in private - a privilege no other visitor was given. It was War, or more specifically, the Warfury who is quickly becoming known as the premier Goddess of War. This lesser god may become the definition of War itself if her influence continues to grow. Do be wary. With the authority Varga now holds, this visit may very well be an omen.

I had an offer prepared for Pharaoh Zhoom, but I can tell by the look on your faces that you already have a plan. Such a shame. I was hoping to prove myself to the Champion of Light by coming to her aid. Do carry on, then. I have the utmost confidence in your abilities. Apophis is but a worm compared to your might. Now, if you'll excuse me, I will find a corner to sulk in. Hmmhmm, just because I'm a Light Elemental doesn't mean I can't joke.

To be honest, I did not expect Zhoom to defend his Kingdom so effectively. Even the deserts have roused from their slumber, and chose him. Such a thing hasn't occurred since Sek-Duat took the throne. Ah well, what matters is that the Shadows have been dealt with. They haven't been captured, but rest assured, the Light will succeed. You and our Champion need not be concerned.

To the retainers of our Hope, our Champion of Light, my deepest gratitude for coming to the aid of the Temple. I am Astero, an Elemental in the service of the Avatar Celeritas and her dearest Gravelyn. I was worried that the Shadows would destroy me as they did my predecessor Luma, but you have come to my rescue. Truly, I am grateful for your presence. If you have any questions, I will answer.
Enemy
The Worm That Walks. That is what we call the Shadow that invaded the Temple and stole from Master Nulgath. It is one of many entities of Shadow and Doom that calls itself a Mysterious Stranger. Many are like the Worm, Doom Spirits that infest the Darkness. Others are of mortal origin that see something to gain from the Shadows. And others…our memories are no longer clear.
Our Hope
The loss of our previous Champion wounded us greatly. Celeritas was inconsolable over how horribly she died. But, a glimmer of starlight appeared in the darkness. Our Hope was born. Gravelyn, the new Champion of Light, shines brighter than all who came before her. She will bring a brilliance to the Plane of Light never before seen! There are detractors within our Plane, but that can be taken care of.
Pedestal
The Worm seeks to tear open a portal to the Plane of Darkness. We…have a portal meant to be opened to the Plane of Light to allow Elementals and mortals to converse freely. It is powered by a pedestal where criminals and other ne'er do wells are drained of their energy. Fortunately, we were not able to finish powering the portal before the temple was invaded. I have been guarding the pedestal ever since.

Once again, I must thank you for saving the Temple of Light from that wretched Worm. It is a shame the portal was destroyed in the process but we have all the time in the world to rebuild. Rest assured, the attendants of the Temple will send word to Queen Victoria about our activities. And if we are fortunate, Empress Gravelyn will grace us with her presence and meet Lady Celeritas.
