Adeptus Kathooli
Ah, welcome to the feast. Have you come to feed on the generous offerings of the Depths? We are Holothurian, thirty creatures fused into one. We were
enlightened from feeding on the limbs of Kathool, the God of the Depths. Kathool is formless, the embodiment of the Depths themselves, but a fraction of its form manifests in these dark and cold corners. This disaster, a ghastly miracle, waits here to test your mettle and will to survive.
Adeptus
We are Adeptus Kathooli, but we do not worship the God of the Depths in the same way that the land dwellers bow to the Avatars or other gods. To survive is to take, and make others suffer so that you may thrive. I once writhed at the bottom of the food chain, but feeding on the Depths' manifested limbs gave me new thoughts and sentience. This new will spreads, widening Kathool's influence in exchange for sustenance and new life.
Evolution
The God of the Depths manifests as organic matter in dark and cold corners. We feed on this offering, and the mindless gain thoughts, the ability to learn, and the ability to feel euphoric suffering. In rare moments, Kathool manifests in the mind of an individual, seeded with eldritch knowledge, the need to crawl into the depths and emerge as a beacon. Together, we shall evolve and conquer the crucible of natural selection.
Kathool
This corner of the sea floor holds great significance. It is the place where Kathool was reborn, and manifestations occur frequently. How and why this happened matters little to the Adeptus. Our God of the Depths is the sustenance from which we feed and evolve. This will prevent the God from ever emerging as that foolish Water Avatar did, but it is pleased by our spread and how it shakes the Balance of Lore.

Adeptus Kathooli
We meet again, yet it is also the first time. We are Holothurian. Twenty more sea slugs have fused with our body and attained sentience. The Adeptus Kathooli have gathered here to celebrate this fine gift from the God of the Depths. An entire city, sunk to the bottom of the sea. It is now a grand temple to Kathool, a beacon to the curious and the ambitious. The Nereid Princess tests their will to survive, but none have passed. Would you care to try?
Talk
We sense a stirring in the deep. Your presence still strikes fear into the cursed departed.
City
The name of this city has been swallowed by the Depths. We Adeptus Kathooli were invited to feast on its knowledge and people. Explorers, scholars, treasure hunters, and more have been lured by the mystery of our new grand temple, but they either become food…or one of us. Our family grows. The influence of the Depths spreads. I feel the gaze of Kathool all around us, and within you. Ah, fascination. An even greater sensation than hunger.
Nereid
The inhabitants of this city have become a feast for the Adeptus Kathooli. Two colleagues of mine, a mollusk and a lamprey, fed on the remains of a princess. They fused together and attained sentience, as well as a fascinating new sensation- the pleasure of self-loathing. This transformation, the ascension of lowly bottom feeders, is the perfect example of the Depths' beauty.
Offering
This feast, the grand temple, and the spread of the Adeptus Kathooli was only possible because of you. Hmm, would you prefer that we give gratitude to human hubris instead? Regardless, we - the masses, the many, the one - invite you to join the celebration. Should the God of the Depths manifest a part of itself here, you must be the first to partake of its flesh. Ah, is that disgust I sense? We yearn to attain that sensation as well.

Adeptus Kathooli
Welcome, honored guests. We are preparing for the coming feast. I see that the one remaining Daughter of the Depths accomplished what none of the others could - coming to love and adore the world. She will make an excellent conduit for the ritual.
Madness
I assure you, No harm will come to Miss Elodea. She needs to be alive and well to allow the call - ehem - Kall of Kathool to be heard across the globe. Infecting minds with madness? From our perspective, we are bringing enlightenment to the entire world. From the Depths we emerged, and to it we shall return, minds joined as one…Hm? You think the God of the Depths is doing this for "fun?" Nothing else? Ah, I'm not worthy enough to comment.
Dzeza
To attract the attention of the Boundless, one who never felt alive until, as the younglings say, that sick as spit kick of yours sent its seed into the stratosphere - very impressive. The rapid emergence of its cult was unexpected, but not unwelcomed. As brief as it was, having rivals tickled our gills. If Dzeza took possession of Elodea, it would have silenced our ritual. We have nothing but the deepest gratitude for your intervention.
Maiden
Why did the God of the Depths send goldfish to the surface? The ritual we are performing will not destroy the world. No. We wish to affect it. To bring change. Through Kathool's wisdom and sight, we realized that spells requiring bloodshed or hate are nowhere near as effective as those that require love and adoration. Elodea learned how to love the world with all her heart. Even the God of the Depths lacks the capacity to accomplish that.
After completing the 'The Victor! The Survivor!' quest:
Adeptus Kathooli
Did you enjoy yourself as much as our God of the Depths did? Only you could foil our plots so thoroughly. It was highly entertaining to feel the sting of failure. The tides retreat, for now. The next time Kathool acts, will it be of benefit to you? Or will you gnash your teeth, and shout curses into the dark? Either way, we hope you'll continue to imagine yourself ripping Kathool limb from limb. It's invigorating to be regarded with such passion.
