Ironfist's Quests

Note: This quest can only be completed once.

Freeing my people is my fondest wish, and if you defeat Vath, we will be free to reclaim our city once more… but if you try to defeat him, you will fail. It's important to know the enemy that you are up against. You must find the Stone of Memory. It keeps a magical record of our city and its people. It will show you what Vath is capable of. Find the Stone of Memory and see what it must show you, then return to me.

We want to see Vath gone as much as you do, but I have to care for my people. If you help make things easier for us, then I will tell you how to get into the Upper City and to Vath. First, my people need water. On the mountain path leading here, you must have seen some Balboas. These stone creatures hold within them stones that magically store water. Bring me 3 Water Stones.

My fellow Dwarves and I have been treated worse than animals since Vath took over. Many of us have been worked until fatigue and illness overcomes us. The beaks of the Vultragons on the mountain path can be used to make powerful medicine. Bring me 6 Vultragon Beaks so that I may heal our sick.

Hero, we need food. Dragonlord Vath's Drow make us work endlessly with almost no food, and our strength is giving out. Each of the Drow soldiers carries a small pouch of food on them, and they eat in front of us just to be cruel. Teach these monsters a lesson and bring me 8 Food Pouches to help feed the hungry.

Dwarves have excellent eyesight, but even we cannot work in the pitch black mines of Dwarfhold. Here in the mountain, there are burrowing Glow Worms who feed on a mineral called uranium. For some reason, their steady diet of this mineral makes them glow in the dark. Slay a few of these beasts and gather 3 Vials of Glow Ichor from them, so that we may make lamps.

Chaos Dragonlord Vath does not give us many tools to dig with. We do not want to work for him, but until you take him out, we must keep delivering gold and gems to save our skins. To make our task easier, we normally use small amounts of blasting powder that we make out of bat droppings. Explore Dwarfhold and gather 8 Piles of Bat Guano, then return to me with your… findings.

I have one last favor to ask of you, Hero. We need weapons. We will not try and free ourselves until Vath is gone from Dwarfhold, but when the time comes, we want to be ready to fight. Gather 8 Weapons from the Draconians or Drow and bring them back to me, so that I may hide them in a secret location.

Vath will barely allow us to use tools to dig with, and the tools that we get are second rate at best. We get no gloves. We get no helmets. But there is a simple solution for all these problems… Draconian Scales. We can use the tough scales to reinforce our tools as well as make scale mail gloves and helmets. Please, I need you to bring me 6 DRACONIAN SCALES.
