As expected, Albedo Elementals have infested the Forge. You won't notice you've been burned until it's too late, and you start hearing unwanted voices from the past. Needless to say, we should put out their flames.
The Elemental Planes of this world are alien to the planet Lore and its Mana Core. They forced a connection, and sap power from it. These are Fire Elementals that have been burned by Albedo's flames. Imagine if their burns spread to the Mana Core. That'd be…Apologies, I was extrapolating worrisome theories.

Tara and the suspicious woman hanging on to her shadow found a guestbook. Read it, and ask our companions for their insight. Forge Albedo isn't anything like Maleno…though I have to admit that the architecture appeals to me.
Warlic's lucky to teach a student like Tara. Her curiosity is endless, and her resilience gives others a sturdy shoulder to lean on. Runehawk would have been happy to have her, and she'd keep the Wolfblade students from pranking her classmates.

I hear someone calling for help down the western hall. It's a Paladin, and he's being shot at by Forge Albedo's Defensive Turrets. Defend him, and ask him if there are others in danger. I'll find a way to disable the alarm.
The ship's system confirmed my identity with an eye scan, and accepted my passwords. I'm half-surprised that it still worked. It's fortunate that Warlic still clings to the memory of every version of me. But, that's just who he is.

The Paladin, Riguad, said that his team was separated and being hunted down by faceless humanoids. You and the others check the open rooms for those in need of rescue, and I'll work on unlocking the other doors.
Those husks were Runehawk students. They followed an ambitious Star Captain on an unsanctioned expedition into the far reaches of space. Dean Warlic and I warned them that they were throwing their lives away…The crew didn't make it through the reset.

I unlocked the room next to the one you were just in. More of Rigaud's Paladins are inside. Rescue them from the Collapsed Husks trying to assimilate them. Try not to look at them directly. There's no coming back from that.
If anyone else was Dean, they'd be tempted to take these husks and cut them open. To see what happens when the laws of the universe are rewritten, and stop accounting for your existence. But Warlic, every Warlic that ever was, would never.

This is as far as we can go down the west hall. Tara scouted the east wing, and found Albedo Matches. They're using what's left of their scorched minds to spread the flames. Please, stop them here.
The melted pieces of steel in the Matches' ashes…they were Rigaud's Paladins. I wonder who Forge Albedo reunited them with? Instead of braving the white flames to purify themselves, the Paladins willingly burned to keep illusions alive.

I hear gunfire and metal scraping further into the eastern wing. The Defense Droids are hunting the remaining Paladins. We need to hurry and destroy them, or there'll be no one left to rescue.
These droids were meant to protect the ship's crew from the Paladins' polar opposites. If I used them in the other timeline…they'd end up being aimed at the people there, too. Is that me talking, or is this what Warlic wants me to say?

I think it's easy to tell where the Paladins broke into Forge Albedo. They were mowed down by the Defensive Turrets. Destroy the turrets, and rescue the last of the survivors. One of them might have the key to the main center of the Forge.
I have a confession. None of the doors in Forge Albedo were really locked. Warlic kept you away by putting up mental barriers, but you had the real key this entire time. This is where we part ways, Hero. I wonder what this world's Jaania will think of you.
