Lady in Waiting
This door leads to the private chambers of her highness, Queen Victoria. You're her friend, and one of my favorite customers at the Swordhaven Salon, but I can't sneak you in. The Queen is preparing for the summit, and can't be disturbed. You'll definitely have a chance to talk with her when it's time. Until then, why not have some tea? We could even have the royal cook make Pri- ah, Miss Tara's favorite sweetbreads.

Lady in Waiting
Now that you're here, we don't have anything to worry about! It'll give me time to study up on how to keep this Kall Haxa away next year. Queen Victoria trusted me with this responsibility, and I won't let her down again. Well, if there's an upside to this, the children are really excited to see a real, bonafide hero! Won't you stay a while after the beast is dealt with? When we have that fireplace back, we'll boil a chowder together.
Talk
This Kall Haxa…I remember seeing it stare back at me when I was little.
Castle
My father, Lord Granville, has stopped speaking to me. As punishment for his poor conduct during the last war, Queen Victoria took ownership of Castle Balemorale away from him, and gave it to me. It wasn't taken from the family, but he's furious. He can stay that way. I suggested that we turn it into an orphanage. Brittany and Brentan were my close friends, and Victoria believes in me. I'll follow their example, and make them proud.
Illaria
Queen Victoria introduced me to Princess Illaria and her family. Oh, I know she isn't a Princess, but she looks like one! It was hard to believe that she's a Necromancer, and nobles have been saying such terrifying things about Elves lately. The moment I saw her, I had to dress her in something cute! Apologies, I'm getting too excited. Illaria is here to help adjust the children to their new home. She and her…Undead minions… have been very helpful!
Kall Haxa
I had thought Kall Haxa was a legend, or that it had left Greenguard a long time ago. My father taught my brother about it, and didn't see the need to teach me. Then, he exiled his own son for falling in love with a commoner from the Yokai Isles. Nothing changed for me. If anything, it got worse. I had to break into my father's study to find out how to ward the Kall Haxa away next year. Here, take a look. It was written by one of my ancestors.
Lady in Waiting
Her Highness, Queen Victoria, must address the Nobles concerned for the safety of the realm and throne. Regrettably, she won't be able to join me in thanking you, the honorable Captain Rhubarb, and Jix. Jay-Six? What a novel name! Rest assured, the gold you earned by arresting those troublesome pirates will be sent at the earliest convenience. While we wait, would you like some tea?
Navy
Part of the reason why Queen Victoria depended on you and your friends to hunt pirates is because most of Greenguard's Navy… is led by my father, Lord Granville. It's alarming how much power and land he has. Dividing it would cause an uproar. I suggested that we gently give some of it to my older brother…who refuses to return from exile. I don't blame Carter. He and his wife have been treated terribly.
Rhubarb
Though he may be a pirate, Captain Rhubarb is an honorary member of Greenguard's Navy. None of the Nobles have any doubt about him being the strongest, either. They would have made a bigger fuss about a known criminal being a friend of the Crown…but he's the Champion of Water, yes? It's a rumor that is all but believed to be true after what happened in Ashray and Skye.
The Queen
Queen Victoria is doing quite well. She smiles, sees her sister more often, and stopped second- guessing herself. Thank you for helping her find her way. *Sigh* There are still matters that weigh heavily on her shoulders. Brentan's family is in turmoil, and regards the Queen hostilely. Negotiating with Darkovia's royalty has been difficult as well. I wonder if I can at least help with that…
Lady in Waiting and Hair Dresser
Welcome to the salon! My name is Nialla Granville, and I'll be your hairdresser today. Please, take your time browsing the styles we have available in our catalog. Maybe you'd like a practical cut, but I do recommend the styles popular with the nobility. The upper crust shouldn't be the only people allowed to look and feel gorgeous! Let's bring out your best!
Dream
Though I am a Noble, my childhood dream was to become an artist and I became enamored with how our attendants would style hair so beautifully. My family was against it, turning up their nose at a 'commoner's profession.' Then, I became a lady in waiting to Princess Brittany. She encouraged me to follow my dreams, gave me her blessing, and protected me from the other nobles. I'm so grateful!
Rumors
I'm a bit of a gossip but you'd never catch me sharing any of the Princess' secrets. But some other rumors would be helpful for an adventurer. As of late, the Lionfang family has fallen out of favor with the royal family. They're now held in the same regard as the nobles that supported the previous King during the Rebellion. Vaughn, Cavendish, Reignolds, Noelle, Mitford, and Taylor are some of them.
Hierarchy
King Alteon made life for the people so much better when he was crowned. That being said, he's struggling to do everything he wants because of the noble court. Noblewomen like me are still pressured into marriage, taxes are absurdly high in some regions, and education is mainly restricted to nobility. If he forces too many things to change, many nobles will pull their support for the crown.

Lady in Waiting
You caught me outside of the salon! I hope I wasn't bothering you with the racket. I'm not a very talented pianist, but it raises my spirits whenever I feel down. Since we're both in Swordhaven Castle, did you have business with House Granville? Ah! You didn't know about that. How refreshing! My father rules over several regions of Greenguard, and it's so exhausting being hounded by Nobles looking to win his favor.
Talk
The piano's out of tune, but I find charm in imperfection, like how a stray lock can stir the heart.
House Granville
"Bloods and Blades, no Alternatives." It's very over the top for a family motto. Father was one of the first Nobles to side with the Alteons during the rebellion. For his bravery and many victories, House Granville's territory became the largest out of all the Noble houses. Our ancestral home is in Mythsong, but father lords over the sea of trees surrounding Swordhaven as well.
Family
I don't see much of my father anymore, and I'm glad for it. Before Princess Brittany made me one of her Ladies in Waiting, he disowned my older brother for falling in love with a commoner. Sometimes, I hate Carter more than I miss him. He gets to live the life he wants, and I had to fight to make my dreams come true. If it weren't for Brittany, father would have married me off to the highest bidder. *Sigh* I wish I could hear Carter play the piano again.
Friends
When I was a little girl, Father would take my brother and I to Swordhaven often. That's how I came to become friends with Princess Brittany. At first, she was like an idol to me. Wise, kind, and able to stand her own in court. Brittany's the perfect Lady, but she's got a rebellious streak just like her little sisters. If she wants something, she'll get it, and she wants me to follow my dreams. Swordhaven is lucky to have her.

After completing the 'A Friend's Faith' quest:
Lady in Waiting
Her Highness, Queen Victoria, has a request regarding the late King Alteon. Before we can arrange this private meeting, it looks like you need to help Tara with some tasks at the Temple. The Queen would prefer that you see to those matters first.
After completing the 'The Storm Queen' quest:
Lady in Waiting
Her Highness, Queen Victoria, would like to meet with you in private. This matter concerns her father's regalia. The heroic vestments that echo his legend. When you're ready, let me know, or climb into the carriage. I'll have the coachman take us to the one place my Lady can enjoy peace and quiet. Please keep this place a secret. King Alteon's daughters are rarely afforded a moment of peace these days.
