Are you one of the expeditioners Pharaoh Zhoom called to the Sandsea? Looks like we'll be exploring the dunes together. Call me Layla, I was born in Duat City, but I haven't been home in a long while. Dwarfhold, Bloodtusk, Arcangrove, I've been everywhere hunting for treasure. These days, I'd rather be called an Archaeologist… Even if the Sandsea's mysteries were laid to rest, they shouldn't be forgotten.

Talk
Make sure you drink enough water. My daughter used to get reckless whenever she was excited, and kept passing out in the middle of expeditions.

Hall of Gods
This hall honors the Pharaohs that ruled the Sandsea before Sek-Duat took over. It used to be filled with beautiful carvings and treasures… I mean, priceless relics of great historical value. Sek-Duat had most of them destroyed. The rest were hidden in the sands, buried and lost forever. Pharaoh Zhoom tasked me with bringing them back. It's a tall order, but I'd be insulted if I came all this way for a trivial chore.

Mysteries
The Sandsea venerates Lady Celeritas, the Avatar of Light. Dig a little deeper, and you'll discover that this wasn't always the case. Take a look at this map. I've marked where the Temples of Order used to be… as well as the Temples of Chaos. It's fascinating. Maybe this isn't the kind of Chaos you know, but we'd need to see for ourselves. I'd start an expedition right now, if I could.

Valencia
Hm? My surname sounds familiar to you? Ah, this was my ex-husband's last name. I shouldn't have kept it, but this is the one remaining connection I have to my daughter. You see, I didn't formally separate from him. I had to escape, and I couldn't take Valencia with me. She was so upset, and couldn't understand why I had to leave. I… my apologies. I shouldn't burden a stranger with my troubles.
