Protector of the Sea of Trees
Let me get a look at you, the finest soldier to be born in ages. Chaos, Monsters, Shadowflame - you overcame them all. I wish I had a child like you, but my title and lands will go to a daughter no one wants to marry. She's a lady in waiting that serves a Queen who passively sits on a throne made for legends, watching opportunities slip past. Just wait. I'll convince her, and you'll have new battles to test your blade.
Talk
Our golden age will retum. Perhaps we can even turn Victoria into our Queen of Victory.
Golden Age
Drakath and his father were traitors to humanity itself. We are not monsters. We kill monsters, and mount their heads on our walls. I sided with King Alteon as soon as his rebellion made waves. He reminded me of the Kings of old, the kind that vanquished Evil and brought Greenguard into a time of prosperity and wealth. That age will never return if we sit idly. The Queen must make use of her nation of warriors.
Territory
Greenguard's ruler reigns over most of the continent, but there are pockets that refuse to acknowledge the throne. With the most pressing threats out of the way, we need not cooperate with Dwarfhold and Bloodtusk Ravine, or tolerate the continued existence of Darkovia. The most efficient course of action is to deal with internal issues before bringing civility to Kingdoms and nations in dire need of it.
Undine
Will you be speaking with the Queen about Undine as well? Yes, I know of its existence. I am one of the few Nobles that contributed funds. Technology is as extraordinary as magic. The advancements from Undine will serve to better the lives of valuable warriors like you…if we can convince the Queen to put its inventions to actual use. The end of necromancy is at our fingertips, but the Queen doesn't have the nerve to make decisions.
- Lord Granville's Quests
Protector of the Sea of Trees
Ah! The greatest hero of our age accompanying the Queen of Victory. You are a welcome sight! This Elf keeps pestering me to withdraw, and unfortunately, I may have to do so. A specter blocks the way to the heart of the battlefield, and it isn't one lesser warriors should contend with.
Undead
Skye was hiding another dirty trick. One of their Wardens raised the Undead from this battlefield. They're warriors who once fought for King Duncan in his invasion several generations ago! Those knights may have served the Drakaths, but they were born in Greenguard just like us. Though perhaps, shreds of their humanity remain. They won't draw blood. My warriors reported that the Undead are merely attempting to push us out of the fields. Just what is going on?
Territory
My ancestors tried to claim this land, and I will succeed where they failed. We are not a day's march from Skye's capital city, Quiraing, and Royal Palace Gaheris. Their forts are rubble, their nobles flee and cower, and the Elves will find rot in their wells and farms. Victory will be ours, and Queen Victoria will have another Queendom. Let the rest of the court squabble over the mountains and forests. My valor will earn me these fields, and they'll soon bear my name.
Duncan
King Duncan was a Drakath, but my ancestors respected him for his strength. His conquest engulfed the continent, and made Greenguard the vast Queendom that it is today. Dethrix the First and his wretched spawn almost ruined that legacy…but now, the Queen of Victory will claim lands even Duncan couldn't reach. Ah, he went mad in his old age. The loss of his children ruined him. Dudley the Dull, the youngest of four, succeeded his father. He built roads, I suppose.
After completing the 'Changeling' quest:
Protector of the Sea of Trees
Lord Brentan's brave sacrifice will not be forgotten! Take this evil land, and leave no survivors. The heads of lona's children will line the walls of her castle, and I will put our Queen of Victory on her throne! The son of the Neverglades died to save us from malicious Elven magic! Now, my brothers and sisters! Raise the flags and tell the Dragonlords to take flight! March to the capital city! Quiraing will burn in Dragon fire!
