You can't take care of others if you can't take care of yourself. The same saying goes for when you're undead. Just don't mention that I said this to the rest of the Legion, or they're going to scoff that it's pansy talk. I need the base for my usual 'memory repair' spell. That's what Lord Dage calls it. He developed it after he gained his first generals. You'll find the initial components from the makai and fiends in/darkfortress.
Those caves were where Lord Dage trained when he was still Nulgath's student, though he didn't develop this memory spell until later. Over the centuries, the Dark Council has heard the story of what happened that old fortress…a lot. When Lord Dage works for months in his forge without any rest, he'll even mistake me for Wilhelm. If you don't know who that is by now, don't worry, the Master loves to talk.

Laken was one of Lord Dage's most trusted Generals and Advisors, until the eventual falling out. Which is a sore shame. Laken didn't just have knowledge of the future, he was actually an expert in technology and biosynthetic reagents. The binding agent for the 'memory repair' spell was created by him. Maybe the Seraph Recruits over in /seraph still have some.
Lord Dage's skill in the forge is only rivaled by growing skill in machinery. Partly, this is thanks to Laken sharing his knowledge. With his departure, Lord Dage's personal studies have slowed. Do you know what a 'screen' is? Most of the research and texts Laken had can only be read on a 'screen.' Lord Dage has trouble reading from screens, so I've been transcribing the words to parchment when he isn't looking.

Have you been to /abysslair? That's where one of the newer generals trains and well, broods. He's always looking for challengers, but don't bother him today. For the 'memory repair spell, I need to get a hold of the guards and beasts. That mountain has special properties. If you spend enough time there, it imparts the essence of the abyss into your body. Ask nicely for samples, or not so nicely. Do what works.
I had a funny encounter with that new general, the Devourer of Souls. Though he seemed imposing, he politely asked if I remembered meeting him at the forge. That was strange. My first time meeting him was when he asked me that question on Midnight Mountain. That…seemed to disturb him. "Why did you forget again? Your advice led to Lord Dage making a sound decision," he said. Hmm, I wonder…

Now here's the hard part. Usually, Dage himself has his most trusted warriors sent to the /sevencircles to collect Ethos from the Limbo and Luxuria Guards. I'd rather take care of my headache problem in private this time. This may be contested amongst the Legion, but I think you're one of Dage's most trusted warriors. Could you go and retrieve the Ethos from the guards?
There we go. The ethos is meant to wring out my lethargy and needless regrets, have them be destroyed by the Famine and Death Essence, and expelled. A handful of other Legionnaires know this spell, but I'm the only one that requires it periodically. Oddly, a number of the other Generals are upset by this. Why? Do you think they're jealous of special treatment? Lord Dage says I need this to think clearly.

- Luxuria Guard Ethos x10 (Stacks up to 50)

I'll need Wrath, Violence, and Treachery's Ethos from /sevencircleswar. Not from the guards. We need the stronger stuff from the beasts themselves. You know, I don't think these three things are necessarily 'evil.' If you feel wronged or see wrong doing, you deserve to feel wrath. And sometimes, there's no other choice but violence and treachery… Yeah, this is why the other Generals say I don't belong in the Legion.
Thank you for your aid. Now, to set everything together, draw out my own ethos and destroy it in Death and Famine's essence…Greetings! I am Rand, First General of the Undead Legion and loyal servant to my Master, Dage the Evil. The Underworld bows to the great Lich and all who question his perfection will meet my blade! I - oh? Do you already know me? Hmm, you look frightened. Is there something wrong?
