After completing the 'Materialism' quest:

Our soldiers aren’t dying in combat and the first years of King Drago’s conquests were successful. It definitely wasn’t because he is skilled in warfare. Instead, he would summon huge, towering beasts. I witnessed one with two bodies that sang as they fused together. Their heads brushed the sky and dyed it red.

Beasts?
These monsters fought on behalf of King Drago and won his battles, but our soldiers would disappear from the field. The beds in the emergency clinic are eerily empty. There must be a connection!
