I've written a couple of poems about your adventures, but they'll get even better now that we've finally met. You get the gist now. I'm the descendant of the Jade Stallion, and if I don't pull myself together, I'll burn everything down before I have a chance to hand out this year's blessings. My innate magic summoned the steed of my warlord ancestor. He wants a glorious battle with a worthy warrior, and you're a better fit than an insomniac poet.

I'm handling the festivities now, but next time,we'll be celebrating the Ram. Problem is, the Jade Ram Prince's descendants are all… dead. Oh, no… am I supposed to figure that out before the year's over?

Jade Stallion
The Jade Stallion Prince of Wuji- or rather, the seventh child of the Emperor of Steel- was my ancestor. Though he was poised to become one of his father's Generals, the Prince turned his back on glory to preserve his people's peace. Grand Uncle Zheng didn't say it out loud, but compared to the brave and selfless warrior the original Stallion was, I bet a tired layabout like me is a big disappointment. The only thing I inherited was his talent for poetry.

Red Hare
I have this issue…Whenever I fall asleep, my innate magic has a chance of literally flaring up. I catch fire, and it spreads terribly fast. This time, the stress of leading the Lunar New Year's festivities manifested my ancestor's steed. Red Hare is a horse despite the frankly adorable name, and his fires graced two hundred battles. I sense that he wants us to ride to war. Against who? Well…you were there in the Yokai Realm, right?

I'm surprised Ai asked me to hand out blessings. It's my year, but I'm ill-suited for such an important role. The fire hazard issue aside, I'm unemployed, and rarely leave my house. It burns down a lot, but the gold I get from my poems pays for the new roofs, ten bedrooms, and zen garden…I pace a lot to keep myself awake. Having a lot of room to move helps. Come over sometime. I'Il ask my kitchen staff to make something nice for you.

I'm late, but I showed up, and that's a big deal for me. At least I'm in the Yokai Realm, which I'm going to assume is a lot more fireproof than our regular realm. What's the plan? Recite a folk song? Tian Hei Hei…I remember singing that on hikes when I was a kid.

This is a nightmare. I was already tired of having to wake up to the same day over and over, but now it'll never end? I can feel something else different with me too. The fires I worked so hard to keep under control are slowly starting to frenzy again. It's my innate magic. My cousins won't realize it right away, but theirs are going to go out of control too. It'll hurt people, and we'll have to lock ourselves up.
