Moglins are surprisingly durable. I've seen Twilly fall off the top of the Guardian Tower, and bounce off the ground. He was all shook up, but got distracted by a butterfly.

After completing the 'Fairy Foray' quest:

Even though Moglins are treated as prey by a number of monsters, they have front-facing eyes. Predators like cats and wolves have those. Prey animals like deer or rabbits would have eyes set wider apart.

I find it interesting that they're so sweet and kind, but inspire certain people to punt or squish them. Could it be that we can sense that Moglins are potential predators? Are Moglinsters actually the next step of their evolution? Or something else?
