Warrior Trainer
A palace like this rising out of the sea wouldn't go unnoticed. The Kult must have some spell in place that only allows a chosen few to see its shadow. Apologies, I'm too agitated to carry myself the usual way. It's already difficult to hold myself back from tearing this wretched nest apart brick by brick.
Fortress
I can't deny being impressed by such a grand castle. Elodea is right, it's made to look like a princess' palace. If you press your hands against the walls, you'll realize they aren't made of stone. The bricks are organic - as if many smaller creatures like krill or nematodes compacted themselves together, forming a stage for their god's theatre of madness. The fortress will collapse back into the depths when it fulfills its purpose.
Adepts
I have to give it to the Kultists. Their Adepts are warriors with skills that easily contend with mine. They could have taken to the shores at any time to hunt Elodea down, but chose not to. That tells me everything I need to know. The God of the Depths wasn't in a hurry. They must have been entertained by our struggles. Now, they welcome us with song and dance. It's…humiliating. I would've preferred being ambushed.
Songs
The songs of the Merdrathoolians and Adepts are strange. Their voices don't fit their throats. Juvania told me she recognizes them, and perhaps you know where they're from as well. All of the Kultists are fusions, and the Adepts' vocal cords are from Water Elves. Were they given, or were they stolen? That would mean those adepts had hunted and eaten Water Elves. Perhaps they were already dead. I can only hope that was the case.
After completing the 'The Victor! The Survivor!' quest:
Warrior Trainer
The God of the Depths orchestrated a tragedy impossible to escape, but you and Elodea threw this doomed destiny back in their face. I'm proud of you both. Arcana and Metrea as well. They put themselves at risk to bring Dzeza's remnants to Elodea. Has this convinced me that some Eldritch Beings are trustworthy? Ha, not at all! Dzeza must have relished Kathool's blunder. Juvania may think the opposite, but I prefer it that way.
