Note: This quest can only be completed once.

Our adventure begins eons ago, well before the age of social media, when epic stories of Norse deities were carved into Runestones. Should we find such a Runestone, we might uncover a clue leading to the majestic Valhalla. Perhaps the thieving Tomb Robbers of the SandSea Sandport might have something of interest hidden up their sleeves?

What a treasure the Sønder Kirkeby Runestone is! Inscribed here is a tale of Thor… and… Oh? What's this… "Follow the French Horn songs as they pour to praise the almighty Norse god Thor!" Hmm… perhaps the next Runestone is hidden in a Mythical Song place? Protected by some French Horn beastie? Use that noggin of yours and try to find the next Runestone!

The Norse gods are smiling today—they have gifted us the Södermanland Runestone, hero! It tells a tale of Thor's Hammer… "CRASH in Sight! No Barrier can prevent the consistency of electricity of Thor's Hammer…" I wonder what this could mean? Perhaps the answer—and another Runestone!—is hidden in a Crash Site on some Barrier beastie?

This IS the Altuna Runestone! This relic tells the tale of Thor's fishing trip: "With a sea of fish from Arcangrove, angler Thor's bounty radiates an effervescent glow…" Hmmm… are there fishing spots in Arcangrove? Perhaps a gilled beast hides yet another Runestone? Hold your breath and dive on in…

The Gosforth Runestone! Well done, hero! Let's see… "Underneath the battlefield, worry not about the restless dead, but the beast of bone and terror…" Could this be referring to Battleunder? Is there something down there that's worse than the hordes of undead?

This DOES appear to be the real Velanda Runestone! What does it say? "In a northern cave of coal and sleet, a frosty king protects the key." The northern continent is very cold. Do you know of a king who resides there? A king of… coal, or frost? Or both?

To summon Frostmane, we'll first need something to burn. A combination of Lunar Herbs and Moon Wood will attune our ritual to the Steed of Night. The trolls in the area often carry both for similar purposes. Collect 5 of each, and then return to me.

Burning the herbs and wood won't be enough to bring Frostmane to the ground. We'll need something more to draw him out of the sky. He is partial to the wolves found in this area. If you collect 8 of their pelts, that should be enough to get his attention.
