Will you pass my gratitude over to Empress Gravelyn? I'm coming to terms with letting Aria choose her own destiny, but she hasn't fully healed from what happened in the Time Stream yet. We're still in the middle of an invasion, but my worries are eased. It's funny- After what we discovered in Undine, I'm of the mind that the Empress of the Shadowscythe has been more honest than Queen Victoria.

Thank you for helping me make Aria's life just a little bit easier, and for listening to my blathering. Instead of being frustrated over what's out of my control, I need to concentrate on doing what I can. Perhaps we won't be able to return to the Inn any time soon, and maybe things will never go back to the way they were before. But, none of that matters. As long as Aria and I are together, I'm happy.

My wife, Lark, passed away when Aria was learning how to walk. See how rough and boring I look? I'm glad that Aria got all of her looks from her mother. Lark had always been frail of health, and seeing Aria injured reminded me of how little I could do for her mother. But her last words were about how much Aria and I made her life full and happy. So, I won't have any regrets, and focus on making Aria happy.

When the Mana Crisis settled, Galanoth and Artix escorted us back to my Inn. Barely a moment after we arrived, there was a knock on the door. Queen Victoria had seen how the Champions had helped protect Lore, and sent a messenger to invite us to Seabase Undine. She promised that it had the resources needed to help return Aria back to health. I knew nothing about Undine, but we needed the help.

Seabase Undine was a soggy cave when we arrived. The dark Twilight Zone was the top floor, intruders frequently broke in, and Aria barely got better. Our conditions rapidly improved when Dr. Rivale arrived with her family. She sat me down, introduced the Astravian technology that would be used to operate on Aria, and performed a surgery that lasted almost twenty hours. I can't thank her enough!
